Hi there!
There are already so many requests and posts about adding custom georeferenced charts in SD.
It would be great to have the option to add our own charts — maybe we’ll see this feature someday.
But for now, it would be a really nice feature if the "Aerial Photography" layer were also available in flight mode, not just in planning mode.
Is there any chance we might see such a feature?

This option would be great for helicopter pilots, especially for specialized operations like aerial photography, power line inspections, pipeline checks or also for sightseeing flights because of the POI's in google/apple maps
If you revisit it, it would also be great to add a moving map — so that you can choose whether the helicopter should be centered or not.
Tim Dawson: I don't think real enroute navigation using satellite photography is something many people want, so we have no plans to add all the navigation instruments to that screen at present.
Regarding all the other “I want a georeferenced map in XY” posts here in the forum, I don’t fully agree with you, Tim. Yes, not all of them want an satellite photography, but i think most of them would be happy...
If users could choose between OSM and satellite photography, I’m pretty sure there would be very high demand.
